• How to Volunteer.

  We would love your participation as a volunteer at the Beacon of Light Preschool! There are a variety of engaging opportunities for volunteers, including reading books to children, helping in an art activity, supporting an enrichment activity based on the season or holiday, and even supporting office work such as photocopying and filing. Whatever your interest, we would love to welcome you to volunteer with us! As part of Massachusetts state guidelines with the Department of Early Education and Care, here are your first steps in becoming a volunteer:

  
  

  1. Come to the Pastoral Office Monday-Friday between 10 am-3 pm with your driver's license or state-issued photo ID* 

  2. Fill out a CORI form

  3. Sign permission for a background record check, including fingerprinting

  4. The office administrative team will make a copy of your license and process your paperwork.

  5. Once you receive an email confirmation, you can schedule your fingerprinting appointment at a date, time, and location that is best for you

  6. After all paperwork is processed and found suitable, you will be contacted to schedule the time(s) you would like to volunteer
