History. Old Holy Trinity Church was established in 1868 and is known as the "Mother Church of Franklin County". Faithful Catholics throughout the county traveled to Greenfield each week for Mass. As Catholism spread, 10 additional churches expanded across Franklin County from Old Holy Trinity Church.
1868 - Old Holy Trinity is the oldest and first Roman Catholic Church of Greenfield and is considerd the "Mother Church of Franklin County".

Today. After 150+ years as Holy Trinity Parish, Blessed Sacrament Parish merged with Holy Trinity Parish in 2022 to establish Blessed Trinity Parish as it is known today.
