Is Leaving a Legacy Important?
Leaving a legacy is important for many reasons. It can serve as an example for future generations, preserving memories and teaching valuable life lessons. It can also be a source of pride and motivation, inspiring others to strive for greatness, regardless of their circumstances. This could be a contribution (of time, money, or talent) to an important cause, something built or crafted, or even a victory in achieving important changes you want to see.
Specify Your Wishes.
Legacy Giving also known as Planned Giving is a unique way to make an intentional gift to organizations while meeting your own personal, financial, and philanthropic goals. And there are many ways to do this that won't affect your current lifestyle or your family's security while leaving a lasting legacy here in our Catholic Community of Greenfield for years to come. Remember that you can specify the designation where you would like your gift to go. Are you passionate about a Ministry, a building project, or something else? You are in charge of your gift.
Gifts that Anyone Can Make.
No matter what stage of life you are in, there are ways to fulfill your philanthropic passions and support what means the most to you while still providing the best for your family. It’s not complicated or hard. Still working? Matching gifts from employers are easy to do. With smart planning, you may even reduce the tax burden on your heirs and/or increase the size of your estate.
Make a Plan.
By planning your gift, you can provide a significant difference to Our Parish, Our Catholic Community and our Ministries—and gain financial and tax benefits for you and your family. Just as important, you will know that you have made a meaningful contribution for years to come and will have made a significant difference to the future of our Greenfield Catholic Community.
One Time Gift.
You can make a one-time Legacy Gift or establish your own endowment. Do you have a special ministry you'd like to support? Through your contribution, our parish is able to feed the hungry through our community meals and food pantry, educate our youth and adults by providing religious education and OCIA programs, encourage vocations, upkeep and beautify our buildings and grounds, shelter the homeless, protect the unborn, assist our clergy to support and strengthen our Catholic Church. Can’t decide? It can go towards the general fund to be used as needed. Gifts can be made in cash, stocks, property, insurance or a bequest included in your will.
Remember that with planning, these gifts can be donated in such a way that won’t impact the way you live now, by either designating Blessed Trinity Parish to receive estate assets in the future or by making immediate gifts to us of assets that are "out of sight and out of mind."
